Teen Center & Skatepark
The Hub’s Crew
JIM LOCKRIDGE thehub@bristolskatepark.com
Jim directs The Hub, working to bring money and donations of stuff that make it better and to make sure there’s all kinds of things to do. He’s kind of a musclehead when it comes to the house rules, but since the house rules are ‘No Hate, No Violence, No Drugs, RESPECT’ it just means The Hub is a safe place to be. He’s been there since the spring of 2008 when Ena left. He also runs Big Heavy World, a volunteer-staffed nonprofit in Burlington dedicated to Vermont-made music – it all keeps him busy, justthewayhelikesit.
RYAN KRUSHENICK ryan@bristolskatepark.com
Ryan’s the one singing in the picture (on The Hub’s stage) – he fronts Unrestrained, a Burlington-based hardcore punk rock band. Ryan’s worked with teens basically since he was one, with a focus on prevention. Ryan’s always been involved with music and runs the Hub’s music program, offering free lessons and general guidance with drums, guitars, and bass guitars. He helps the Hublings put live concerts together on the new mini ramp/stage and is a leprechaun when nobody’s looking.
ERIN BUCKWALTER erin@bristolskatepark.com
Erin is directing The Hub’s Nutrition & Garden Programs, and will be working with the Hub teens to start a garden next to the skatepark this spring. Erin has been working with and gardening with teens for years and loves growing/eating yummy veggies.
