This Week at the Hub

This Thursday on May 17th we will be taking kids to the Bouncing Souls show at Higher Ground. Come into the Hub this week to sign up to go for free we will be leaving the Hub around 6pm. Come into the Hub and sign up for the Learning Kitchen which will be Fridays 3p to 5pm. Learn to cook and bring the groceries home to your parents to show of your new skills.

Also, come in and sing up for our sexual health class; if you complete all the class you get $100. Come into the Hub and talk to Ryan or Jim for more information

Concert

Hey Guys the last concert at Higher Ground is coming up on May 17th! The Bouncing Souls, we will be leaving the Hub around 6pm! Bring in your transportation waivers or come get them inside.

Learning Kitchen

Hey Guys. The Hub is going to be starting the Learning Kitchen Program on May 18th. This program will involve us cooking, learning about nutrition and the meal we prepared, eating the meal and sending home the recipes and groceries so you can prepare the meal for your family! Making dinner for your family really good way to impress them and get on your parents good side. It will be from 3-5 after school and if you need to leave a little early to catch the activity bus you can. Come in and sign up with Heather.

Skateboard Camp

Mikey X has been teaching people to skate for several years. In
recent years he has taught skaters of all ages and abilities; beginners
and experts, skateboarders and in-line skaters, boys and girls
and even some moms and dads. We’ll start wtih the basics, pushing,
turning, stopping, balance them move on to ramps, rolling
down, dropping in, and turning around. Finally on to tricks, ollies,
grinds, and kickflips. Mikey will teach park safety, etiquette, patience
and respect as well.

DEV

Last night we 5 kids to see Dev at Higher Ground in Burlington. Many of the youth that we brought had never been to a concert and enjoyed the music. We all danced for most of the night and laughed and had fun! Here are a few pictures from the night but there are more on our face book.
