Photo Project

Hey guys want to do a cool and fun art project through the Hub? On April 30th, 2012 we will be giving out disposable cameras to youth. You will have the camera for a week so that youth can take up to 10 pictures of what they think of as their life (and they need to be appropriate) and then the cameras will be returned to the Hub and if there are any teens who did not get to take the camera out it will be their turn. The extra pictures will be used taking photos of what is a daily life of those who use the Hub. After the pictures are developed we will have a scrap booking workshop so each youth will be able to create pages reflecting themselves. After we will use the scrap book as promotion material for the Hub, which will show of the hard work of the youths involved.

Hub Videos

Hey Guys we are trying to make a movie of the teens that use our center an what they like about the Hub. You can participate in the filming or editing when ever you come into the center it is an on going project. The video is to ask you guys about how often you come to the Hub? What do you like about the Hub? What could we do to improve the Hub? Getting the answers will help us to improve the Hub and continue to get funding for the center. Everyone can be a part of the project weather you want to be in front of the camera answering the questions or behind the camera asking the questions and filming the everyday activities of the Hub. Also, you can help us edit the video and put it all together into a polished version.

ThinkTank

April 18th 2012 the Shelburn Museum will be coming to the Hub! There will be Pizza, an arts and crafts project, a presentation and a chance for you to share ideas. The program starts with an arts and crafts project, designing a Vermont license plate, which will be followed by a power point showing what the Museum program is like at the moment. After all the teens will get a chance to openly discuss their interests, ambitions, obstacles and what they think a museum program for teens should be like.
